The above rephrased slightly: "When the police want to become both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."

I am not able to generate much enthusiasm for this weapon, and here’s why: if the US military develops an effective weapon, it is only a matter of time before that weapon is also allocated for use by federal, state, or local police agencies.

While it is true that there are “bad men” in America, we have arrived at a point in time when the definition of “bad man” only depends on how the federal and state governments choose to define it.  A bad man today could even be someone who worships God, or one who openly admits that he or she is a Christian, or anyone who refuses to bow down to a Mohammedan.  A bad man today is one who refuses to do what his government masters tell him that he or she must do. 

In my view, local law enforcement is already “militarized” enough. 

They have not hardened themselves in order to “take down” black thugs in Chicago, or Hispanic gangsters in Los Angeles.  No, they have developed militarized weapons and tactics in order to keep the rest of us in line.  Black and Hispanic thugs are only a convenient justification for spending so much money to purchase military hardware.  No, the real reason for acquiring all of this battlefield equipment is that they intend to suppress a free people; you know — as in 1984.  The Clive Bundy event tends to illustrate what happens whenever, or should ever, any American refuse to do what they are told to do and I will bet dollars to donuts that when the Bundy incident was over, someone sat down to include in their next budget, armored vehicles.  You know, for the next time someone out west talks back.  The only reason that event did not erupt into an all out shooting match was because the Bureau of Land Management saw, from TV cameras, that they were “out gunned.”  To my knowledge, no one has yet asked the question, “Why does the Bureau of Land Management have armed police?” 

My response to this video, and in particular this topic, reflects that I no longer trust the federal government.  I place no confidence in anyone, whether a badge-carrying brown shirt or a bureaucrat appointee to an Obama Death Panel, to keep their oath of office, to wit: to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.  We the people are not the enemy, except when the president stands up to explain away our legitimate concerns by referring to us as right-wing extremists, or gun-toting, bible carrying “simple folk.”  No, government employees at every level have sold us out in exchange for a nice income and a perfectly acceptable retirement program. 

This is a fact: DHS today more closely resembles the SS than any organization dedicated to a secure America.  I do not know why they need hardened vehicles; I do not know why sheriffs departments need armored tanks.  In my view, the right to bear arms is no longer a sufficient safeguard to a totalitarian government.  By acquiring such weapons as shown in this video, the federal government has already “disarmed” the American people.  Next up: robo-cops.

Give police war toys and they become hyper-violent war departments. The Albuquerque Police kill mentally ill people for fun these days... as do other departments as they work their badge-heavy, lethal tactics on women, children and 90 year-old senior citizens who may be armed with a knife or yard stick. Having carried a badge and weapon for my police and the sheriff's department for seven-plus years, I believe I'm entitled to say, "If a person in law enforcement can't disarm a majority of the women, children and 90 year-old senior citizens who may be armed with a knife or yard stick, that person really needs to get in another line of work." The Lamestream Media is always looking for a few good idiots; I think they'd fit right in.

Take guns away from law abiding citizens in order to ‘protect’ them from those who don’t obey the laws.

Take religion away from everyone to ‘protect’ those who don’t believe anything. 

Take babies and suck them into a vacuum or bash their spinal cords after they are born to ‘protect’ those who think they have a right to do that. 

Take the civilization-perpetuating reverence of ‘marriage’ away from those who revere it in order to ‘protect’ those who’d be extinct without it. 

Take away the dignity of the majority of Americans who travel to ‘protect’ those, and only those, who should be profiled at the airports … like there’s been a slew of Chinese, Italian, and Jewish people blowing up planes and buildings … or, to prevent potential highjackings plotted by senior citizens who strategize about those things on the shuffleboard courts at The Villages. 

I could go on and on, but you get the point. 

And now (see link below*), His Azz Hole-iness Mayor Blooming-idiot-berg, is saying we’ll have to reinterpret the Constitution so that we have less freedom IN FAVOR OF, basically, those who want to destroy us. Would someone PLEASE shut him the F up.

The only freedoms we need to remove are from every and any person who wants to come here from ANY country that encourages, promotes, supports, harbors or condones those who hate this country … and I mean ANYONE, and that includes the sons and daughters, and all relatives, from royal families in the Middle East. If the King of Saudi Arabia, for example, likes our colleges and universities so much and wants to send his kids to study here … tough shit … he’s got the money to build college and universities of whatever stature he wants right in his own country. The only freedoms we need to remove are from those who are hell bent on destroying us, who live every day with perpetual 24/7 hard-ons just awaiting to get to those 72 virgins. Thus, the government argues that a higher percentage of minorities within the felony population than in the population at large means that any policy that discriminates against felons as a class is discriminatory because its impact falls disparately on minorities. 

Okay... this is where you've gotta read real careful: 

Company officials pointed out to commission investigators threatening to charge the company with discrimination that they couldn’t hire felons even if they wanted to, because federal law prohibits federal firearms licensees from hiring felons.

The investigator’s response was, according to one company official: “That’s your problem, not ours.”

LOST (Law Of The Sea Treaty) Is Where It Should Be... At DEEP SIX And LOST!

Obama’s U.N. Treaty Defeated & Officially Dead In The Water: (Law Of The Sea Treaty) Violates U.S. Constitution!

Well this is a relief. Jim DeMint’s website has announced that the Law of the Sea Treaty (and eco-nut treaty) is officially dead. It takes 67 senators to ratify a treaty, and with 34 senators opposing, the treaty has no chance of making it out of the Senate. 

With 34 senators against the misguided treaty, LOST will not be ratified by the Senate this year. 

Strong opposition is rising in the U.S. Senate to the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) that would subjugate American sovereignty to the whims of an international tribunal. To date, 30 Republican senators have signed onto a letter opposing LOST. It takes 67 votes to approve treaties in the Senate, so only 34 votes are needed to ensure defeat of this misguided treaty. 

Why is LOST so harmful? 

• It would act as a backdoor Kyoto Protocol, forcing us into cap and trade policies that would destroy jobs and harm our economy. 

• It would cost the U.S. trillions of dollars in international royalties to nations including state sponsors of terror like Sudan and “socialistic, despotic or brutal governments in Belarus, Burma, China or Zimbabwe.” 

• Former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton warned it would embolden China, “constrain U.S. naval activities, and do nothing to resolve China’s expansive maritime territorial claims.”

• Radical environmental groups have lined up in support of LOST.

• President Ronald Reagan strongly opposed the treaty as a threat to U.S. sovereignty.

And the above reasons are just for starters!

For months, conservatives across the country have been calling and emailing their Senators in an effort to push them to oppose this UN treaty. Since then, a steady stream of Senators have come out in opposition to the dangerously-flawed treaty. 

Thanks to the dedication of conservatives..., thousands of phone calls went into offices of the Senators who had not yet signed onto the letter. And thanks to those calls, the final six Senators needed to stop the treaty indicated their opposition. 

President Obama and Senator John Kerry tried to hand over America’s sovereignty, but because of the hard work of grassroots conservatives..., our nation and economic future are more secure. 

Below is a list of Senators who have signed the letter or otherwise stated opposition:

And, as always, on the horizon is the ever-present UN’s “Let’s Legislate Gun Control In The Whole Friggin Galaxy.” On July 27th, with his ever-faithful side-kick, Hildegard “Hell on Earth” Clinton, Obimbo intends to sign a United Nations treaty that will legislate gun control in the United States and effectively repeal our Second Amendment. 

Guess again, all you Carters, Obimbos, Clintons and the rest of you New World Order nest of maggots that are out there sucking up good oxygen...

Ted Nugent And The NRA!

So, The Nuge says something like that and some other really good stuff and the pantywaist Democrats/Liberals get their panties all in a wad.  How is it that Emperor Numb Nuts can say, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun” and the lame stream media laughs that one off?  How come, huh?!

EVERYTHING The Nuge said at the NRA was 100% correctomundo.  The only thing I differ with him is, the aspect of being dead or in jail if we have Obimbo for another four years. 

"Hell-on-earth" Clinton and "BO" (Body Odor) have been busying their little selves at the UN trying to pass a new Small Arms Treaty.  The treaty is (I get a laugh out of this one) an “International Arms Control Treaty” that's supposed to keep us all safe from terrorism, insurgency, international crime syndicates and the Big Bad Wolf.  Yeah, sorta like "Fast & Furious" was supposed to prove how much gun control is needed.  That worked out really well, didn't it?   My question is, given our government's track record, who -- or what's -- gonna keep us safe from OUR government?!

From what I've seen of the UN, all it has EVER DONE is try to destroy the U.S.  And that would be because it's made up of nothing but assholes like HC, BO and other gun-grabbing, one-world socialists. 

AND, if (and when) this purposed treaty is passed by the UN and ratified by the U.S. Senate -- and it's a given that it would be if BO has another four years to destroy us -- we can kiss it goodbye because we'll be no different than the majority of Europeans who have had full-scale gun CONFISCATION.

So, The Nuge may be dead because some scumbag did the deed on him with an outlawed weapon.  Or, The Nuge may be in jail because he protected himself with his outlawed weapon.  And this is where we differ; I'll be dead.

I'll be DEAD because my attackers are going to have advance through a wall of bullets and then I'm going to get BEAT TO DEATH with my own weapon, because it's GOING TO BE EMPTY. It'll be empty because the Department of Homeland Security is bogarting all the ammo. Contracting for 450 million hollow point bullets and then looking to get up to 175 million rounds of .233 ammo -- hey, come on guys! How about a break for all of us on the next watch?

In the meantime, all you Democrats/Liberals can go crawl back in your hidey-holes while people like me try to figure out how to save us and the U.S. from you... AGAIN... AS USUAL.

Gun Sales Explode As Election Looms.

Gun Shop Owners Vote “Best of the Best” Third Straight Year!

Sales of handguns and ammunition are booming across the country, and retailers say it’s all about the November election. 

Gun shop owners around the nation told FoxNews.com that sales, brisk ever since President Obama was elected, have spiked upward in recent months. And manufacturers are having so much trouble keeping up with the demand that one, Sturm, Ruger & Co., can’t keep up with demand. The Southport, Conn.-based company has had to suspend new orders after taking orders for more than 1 million guns in the first three months of the year. Smith & Wesson sales are way up, as well.

“Sales usually increase this time of year with tax returns, but this year has been higher than most,” Mike Weeks, owner of Georgia Gun Store in Gainesville told FoxNews.com. “People are scared their gun rights are going to be curtailed after the election.” 

Weeks said his sales are up around 30 percent, and that he now sells ammo by the case. 

“Usually people come in to buy three or four boxes for target practice. Now they are coming in asking what kind of deals they could get on a case,” he said. 

“It’s been a strong cycle. Sales of tactical rifles have been extremely strong,” Bret Jordan, a stock analyst specializing in the firearms market, told FoxNews.com, “Personal handguns have had a steady rise since 2008. The kind of stuff that fits in the waistband for when someone tries to steal your gas can.” 

“There’s no doubt [National Rifle Association President] Wayne LaPierre is out there every day saying that President Obama has a secret plan to take away your guns,” Horwitz said. “They want to gin up sales.”

They want to gin up sales with scare tactics?

Well, it’s working and I’m doing my part to help ‘em out!

Michelle Obama’s Warning to Gun Owners

If you don't read anything but this, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox summed it up with, "Nearly three years into President Obama’s first term in office, Michelle Obama finally said something with which I can agree."

At a recent fundraiser for her husband’s re-election campaign, first lady Michelle Obama told her audience:

“We stand at a fundamental crossroads for our country. You’re here because you know that in just 13 months, we’re going to make a choice that will impact our lives for decades to come … let’s not forget what it meant when my husband appointed those two brilliant Supreme Court justices … let’s not forget the impact that their decisions will have on our lives for decades to come.”

This week, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox wrote an excellent op-ed for the Daily Caller on the first lady’s chilling comments and what they could potentially mean for the future.  To read the piece, please click here. 

Again, if you read nothing else, these few paragraphs from the article bear repeating.

"When Americans flock to the polls in 13 months, we will not simply decide which direction our country should take over the next four years. Rather, we will decide whether or not our fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms will survive over the next several decades.

Currently, the Second Amendment clings to a 5-4 pro-freedom majority on the Supreme Court. Just one vote is all that stands between the America our Founding Fathers established and a radically different America that Barack Obama and his supporters envision.

If these four justices had just one more vote on their side, their opinion -- that the Second Amendment should not exist in today’s modern society -- would be the law of the land today. And assuredly, the anti-gun activist wing of the court knows how close they are to gaining the upper hand. As Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg told aHarvard Club audience in 2009, she looks forward to the day when a 'future, wiser court' overturns 5-4 decisions like Heller.

If President Obama gets the opportunity to tilt the balance of the Supreme Court in his favor, we’re unlikely to see another pro-gun victory at the Court in our lifetime. Even worse, the 5-4 majorities in Heller and McDonald will be in serious jeopardy of being reversed, effectively eliminating the Second Amendment."

That said, I'm a NRA member -- have been and will continue to be. I was going to write about all the reasons WHY I am. I ran across an article that defines the reasons WHY. There's no reason to re-invent the wheel. This is from gunsamerica.com.

Maybe I’m an extremist, but I feel that if it was not for the NRA, America would be in the same boat that England and Canada are in today, with almost no citizens possessing defensive guns at all. You may argue that America is different. This isn’t possible here, that the 2nd Amendment protects our Right to Keep and Bear Arms. You might argue that England and Canada don’t have a Bill of Rights and that is why they lost their guns. Right? 

I wholeheartedly disagree. 

If I am ever asked to speak at the NRA Annual Conference, ... I will not talk about reaching out to youth to go shooting. I won’t talk about using a woodchuck cartridge to hunt deer. And I certainly won’t talk about any politician who is a friend to gun rights. I will talk about apathy and ignorance, and how bombarded we are with misinformation and attacks on our 2nd Amendment freedom. The Right to Keep and Bear Arms may indeed be written into the Bill of Rights, but the anti-gunners have wrangled every detail of the law and of our lives to steal that freedom away, and without the NRA they would long ago have been successful, just like they were in England, Canada, most of Europe, Australia, and most other “western” countries of the world. 

The NRA is our steady and strong voice, and our iron fist. There are throngs of idiots out there who didn’t pay attention in history class and who feel it is their moral duty to ban personal firearm ownership. It has always been the NRA who fights them. They don’t win them all, but they always fight, and they aren’t fighting for some perverse political power trip like your friendly neighborhood senator. They fight for freedom, and for the future of freedom in this great nation we live in. 

I ask you to make sure that your membership is up to date if you are a lapser like I used to be, or if you have not been a member, to join the NRA today. And, respectfully and peaceable-like of course, get in your friend’s faces and get them to do the same!

In one of my earlier posts, I said something to the effect that the Second Amendment isn't just about squirrel or deer hunting -- it's about PROTECTION from the BAD GUYS!

We haven't even touched on the arch enemy of gun owners, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the UN’s 'Small Arms Treaty.' She and the UN could, effectively, wipe out our Second Amendment and accomplish what her husband, Billy Bob (our FIRST black president,) was unable to do. We'll get to this one in another post.

Perry Pummels ‘President Zero’ In Latest Campaign Video.

All I can say is...YEEEEEEES!

Texas governor and Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry released an epic video this morning, attacking President Obama for his lack of leadership and mishandling of the economy. 

At one point in the video, the montage of news clips call President Obama ‘President Zero.’ 

Perry, who announced his candidacy at the RedState Gathering in Charleston, S.C. has seen a meteoric rise in the polls, and actually leads former Massachusetts govenor Mitt Romney in today’s Rasmussen Reports poll of Likely GOP voters by a 28%-24% margin. 

The Michael Bay-esque video titled ‘Proven Leadership’, may look familiar to students of viral political videos and that’s because, according to POLITICO, the video was created by Lucas Baiano, the former video maestro for Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty. Before Pawlenty dropped out of the race, his videos were seen as his strongest asset, and with Baiano jumping over to Perry, expect the Texan to keep producing these very well done and inspiring videos.

Obama smuggling guns and registering yours. 

President Obama wants you to believe America’s founders were in error when they gave citizens the right to bear arms. 

Based upon those illegalities, my friend and the NRA EVP and CEO, Wayne LaPierre, disclosed on Fox News recently that the NRA filed a lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, or BATFE, to issue an injunction barring enforcement of the rule. And with NRA support, the U.S. House has also voted to withhold funding for the enforcement of the new regulation.

As LaPierre wrote in his weekly commentary last week, “The cartels run a $40 billion industry … and the [Obama] administration wants the public to believe that it’s going to disarm cartels with a form? Who is the president kidding?”

Doesn’t Obama know that restricting the right to bear arms primarily ties the hands of good guys, while the bad guys purchase them from a host of other illegal sources? And what part of “shall not be infringed” in the Second Amendment do the feds not understand?

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said the Justice Department will “vigorously oppose” the NRA lawsuit.

The facts are, as Wayne LaPierre points out, that cartels get their machine guns, grenades, missile launchers and tanks from Central and South America, Russia, China, international black markets and defections from the Mexican army. State Department cables, released by WikiLeaks, support those facts.

On the one hand, Fox News reported that, in 2009-10, more than 20,000 guns recovered in Mexico came from U.S. manufacturers. On the other hand, 75 percent of guns submitted to the U.S. could not be traced to a licensed gun store. But there is one place more than 2,000 crime guns could be traced: the federal government.

The winner of the largest-American-supplier-of-guns-to-Mexico award is actually the Obama administration via the Fast and Furious program -- a botched, foiled and disastrous sting operation by the agency’s Phoenix division to uncover a large network of cartel-linked gunrunners. During 2009-2011, through Operation Fast & Furious, the ATF facilitated the sale of 2,020 firearms to suspected smugglers over 15 months!

Among the tragic consequences was the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, gunned down in the Arizona desert last December. Two AK-47 semi-automatic rifles found at the scene traced directly to the Fast & Furious sting.

To add insult to injury, the ATF recently promoted three key supervisors of the Fast and Furious sting operation, who allowed firearms to be illegally trafficked across the U.S. border into Mexico, to new management jobs in Washington!

The truth is that the Obama administration is involved right now in a monumental cover-up regarding its criminal activity to hand over thousands of firearms to gun runners and smugglers. And to duck and dodge their responsibility of those illegalities by now coming across as the vanguard of gun control by cracking down on the sales of two guns sold to Americans at one time is preposterous hypocrisy.

Moreover, to unilaterally mandate this new federal rule so close to the Fast and Furious debacle is more than coincidental, especially in light of the fact that the administration tabled the proposed regulation in January of this year because it was “not an emergency.” The only thing that has changed is the embarrassing revelation of the ATF disaster.

God, guns and guts made America. Let’s keep all three.

Outrage of the Week

This week’s outrage comes to us from Baltimore, Maryland, where mayoral candidate Otis Rolley is proposing a $1.00 per bullet tax be levied on all ammunition purchases in the city of Baltimore as part of his "crime plan.

According to a July 19 article appearing on WBALTV.com, Rolley said, "This is not a revenue enhancement tool. It’s a ‘make it difficult for you to buy bullets in the city’ tool." Rolley also stated that the proposed tax would cause a decrease in "random firings that too often happen around holidays."

Hmm. Tax the law-abiding citizens of the city and make it prohibitively expensive for them to purchase ammunition for self-defense, and reduce penalties for illegal drugs. That’s his idea of a crime plan? That’s outrageous.

That’s outrageous?!  That’s pretty STOOPID, too!

 

Par for the course, though.

Obama Administration To Implement More Gun Control Without Congress.

When I started out this morning, I was going to do a piece on Eric Holder and the calls for his removal. But, there’s just so much incompetency and so little time.

Another day, another power grab around Congress from the Obama administration.

Great news! The Obama administration plans to implement gun control measures  “gun safety measures,” through the Justice Department without Congress.

Spokesman Jay Carney said that the new steps would be made public “in the near future.” He didn’t offer details, but people involved in talks at the Justice Department to craft the new measures said they expected to see something in the next several weeks. Whatever is proposed is not expected to involve legislation or take on major issues, like banning assault weapons, but could include executive action to strengthen the background check system or other steps. 

 “The president directed the attorney general to form working groups with key stakeholders to identify common-sense measures that would improve American safety and security while fully respecting Second Amendment rights,” Carney said Thursday. “That process is well under way at the Department of Justice, with stakeholders on all sides working through these complex issues, and we expect to have some more specific announcements in the near future.”

“Or other steps.” According the Carney, new gun control measures are being pushed by the Obama administration to prevent “another Tucson.” The problem is, Obama administration officials, along with anti-gun special interests groups, are focusing on the guns, rather than criminals. And let’s not forget, Jared Loughner, the clinically insane man who shot 19 people on Jan. 8 in Tucson, Ariz. killing 6 and wounding 13 others, had multiple encounters with Loughner for issuing death threats to a radio host among other things before the shooting, meaning Dupnik allowed him to slip through the cracks of law enforcement more than once. Dupnik chose to do nothing about prior complaints about Loughner, but once again, anti-gun zealots are refusing to focus on the real problems: incompetent law enforcement and criminals. 

It is no surprise anti-gun advocates and the Obama administration aren’t going to let the Jan. 8 crisis go to waste. We saw this coming.

Meanwhile, Congressman Issa updates us on the Obama Justice Department Operation Fast and Furious, an operation that allowed U.S. federal government officials to break and ignore gun laws already in place. 

(In the first video, Mr. Hannity refers to Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furious as the same program, they are not. Project Gunrunner was implemented under the Bush Administration and involved allowing straw purchasers to buy weapons under surveillance but then those purchasers were immediately arrested in the United States.

Operation Fast and Furious was started in 2009 and involved ATF agents allowing straw purchasers to buy guns under surveillance for drug cartels and then take them across the border into Mexico. Those guns are now lost until they are found at crime scenes.) 

So there you have it, the totally incompetent and corrupt Obama Justice Department is in charge of coming up with ideas about how to make America safe from guns, because ideas from this DOJ have worked out so well in the past.
