Texas governor and Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry released an epic video this morning, attacking President Obama for his lack of leadership and mishandling of the economy.
At one point in the video, the montage of news clips call President Obama ‘President Zero.’
Perry, who announced his candidacy at the RedState Gathering in Charleston, S.C. has seen a meteoric rise in the polls, and actually leads former Massachusetts govenor Mitt Romney in today’s Rasmussen Reports poll of Likely GOP voters by a 28%-24% margin.
The Michael Bay-esque video titled ‘Proven Leadership’, may look familiar to students of viral political videos and that’s because, according to POLITICO, the video was created by Lucas Baiano, the former video maestro for Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty. Before Pawlenty dropped out of the race, his videos were seen as his strongest asset, and with Baiano jumping over to Perry, expect the Texan to keep producing these very well done and inspiring videos.
YEEEEEEES! It's about time we got somebody to go to DC that's got a Man Card. Actually, Perry is being much too kind in calling Obimbo 'President Zero.' I can think of a WHOLE LOT of other descriptions for the nappy-headed little girl.
I can really relate to this! All of this (and more... except the editorial cartoons... I ALWAYS gotta add the cartoons!) is fromgodfatherpolitics.com.Even the headline! (Hey... if it don't need fixin, don't fix it.)
The Uber-Liberal Daily Kos website has published Texas governor Rick Perry’s college transcripts. ... Perry was no scholar at Texas A&M University. He was a C student. Liberals see this as a disqualification for a presidential candidate. At least we have the governor’s transcripts. The same can’t be said for the sitting president idiot in charge* whose college and law school transcripts have not been made public.
A person’s grades are not always determinative of what he or she does in life. There are lots of C students who have gone on to do great things and lots of A students who have been miserable failures. Liberals are notorious for pushing how smart a candidate is. Barack Obama Obimbo* is said to be one of our smartest presidents. If he the idiot* is so smart, then why is he the idiot* spending money we don’t have? Why can’t he the idiot* fix the economy? It’s very easy to do. It wouldn’t take me more than 15 minutes to lay out a strategy, and I didn’t go to Harvard Law School.
The best educational job I ever had was working in a hardware store. I learned how to cut glass, thread pipe, make concrete slabs, drive a dump truck, run a Bobcat, mix paint, and a thousand and one other things. One day a frustrated woman came into the store holding some mangled plumbing fixtures. Her scholar husband couldn’t hammer a nail, fix a plumbing leak, or do typical handyman repairs. I know a lot of really smart people who know little about economics, and what they think they know are the very things that are destroying our economy.
This debate over college grades and governmental competency reminded me of David Halberstam’s 1972 book The Best and the Brightest. “The focus of the book is on the foreign policy crafted by the academics and intellectuals who were in John F. Kennedy’s administration, and the consequences of those policies in Vietnam.” The phrase “the best and the brightest” referred to President Kennedy’s “‘whiz kids’ -- leaders of industry and academia brought into the Kennedy administration -- whom Halberstam characterized as arrogantly insisting on ‘brilliant policies that defied common sense’ . . .” These so-called intellectuals got us into Vietnam, got more than 58,000 Americans and 1.5 million Vietnamese killed, and couldn’t get us (out)*. The iconic scene of people desperately trying to escape by helicopter is a fitting image of what the “best and the brightest” got us into.
Perry got a D in economics. Good for him. It was most likely Keynesian Economics, one of the most boring and convoluted courses ever devised by academia.
Given what academics from Harvard, Yale, and other Ivy Leaguers have done to our nation, I think a C student should have a shot at the presidency. All he has to do is follow directions. It’s all written out in the Constitution. There are some other basics. Stop sending our best and brightest young people to fight wars that never end. Stop spending money you don’t have. Don’t steal from some people so you can give it to other people so they will vote for you. Don’t try to create money out of nothing. It’s immoral and it doesn’t work. Who’s more right about Social Security, the media “intellectuals” or Gov. Perry who knows that it’s a Ponzi scheme and isn’t afraid to say so?
I am not endorsing Mr. Perry. Having said this, I will not sit back and let the Left set the agenda for what constitutes a good candidate. If you don’t like Perry, then deal with policy issues and not his grades from more than 20 years ago.
*There, I fixed it. Funny thing about it is, I have a friend that I went to junior high and high school with. After we graduated from high school, he joined the Navy, did his hitch, came back home and started a business -- and became a millionaire. He did it with a high school education. I have another friend that I went to junior high and high school with. After graduating from high school, he went to work on drilling rigs in the oil fields like I did. Tom (not his real name) was working for a major oil company and they saw some potential in him so they sent him to LSU (what they saw in me was a damn good roughneck and I showed up sober most of the time.) Anyway, he got his degree and was making GOOD money as a drilling superintendent and worked all over the world. One day, while Tom was back in our West Texas home town for a visit, he was approached by a down and out friend of ours. Jack (not his real name) was a really close friend to Tom but he didn’t get to graduate from high school with us. Jack had a wife and three kids and was out of work. Jack asked Tom for a job. Tom told him he wouldn’t give him a job but that he WOULD loan him several thousand dollars to start a business of his own. Jack reminded Tom that he didn’t even have a high school education, but Tom told him that it didn’t matter... that he knew a lot of people who had made it without that much education and he believed that Jack could, too. Long story, short -- Jack DID succeed. As a matter of fact, he became a millionaire -- a multi-millionaire (I know that doesn’t sound like much -- not when we’ve been conditioned to speak in TRILLIONS -- but it was a lot of money at that time.) In the process, Tom had made A LOT OF MONEY off the payback that he and Jack had agreed on at the beginning. Tom retired at age 35 from the major oil company, threw in with Jack and Jack MADE TOM a millionaire. Both of ‘em, at age 40, had memberships in country clubs in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Oklahoma so they could play golf wherever they were at the time. So, let’s repeat that -- “If you don’t like Perry, then deal with policy issues and not his grades from more than 20 years ago.”
ABC’s Avila: Rick Perry ‘Does Not Care’ About Science, Has ‘Close Relationship’ with Guns
According to Good Morning America’s Jim Avila, Rick Perry “does not care” about the “overwhelming scientific evidence” of global warming. The ABC reporter on Thursday offered a hostile, condescending take on the Texas Governor.
According to the ABC journalist, "Unmistakably Texan, unabashedly conservative, Governor Rick Perry does not care about the overwhelming scientific evidence that global warming is largely produced by humans burning fossil fuels."
It’s just ‘more of the same’ from the Lame Stream Media. As far as reading matter, it could have gone to the bottom of the pile. Caught your attention, though, didn’t I?
I would like to point out that Avila called Perry, “A theatrical campaigner, a natural performer who was a Yale captain at Texas A&M. ...” For the record: A&M has YELL Leaders (YALE was the alma mater of Bush 2) and A&M doesn’t have a Yell CAPTAIN; Texas A&M has Yell LEADERS with one HEAD Yell Leader.
Also, according to Avila, Perry once finished a tough interview with a harsh, “Adios, mofo.”
I LIKE THAT! So, to Avila, ADIOS, MOFO!
Rick Perry Has Some Explaining to Do
I’ve often been told that you can accurately judge a person by the friends that they keep. Using this premise, let’s take a look at some of the friends Presidential GOP candidate Gov. Rick Perry has kept and still keeps.
In 1988, President Ronald Reagan had already served his two terms as President and was ineligible to run again. The Republican Party ran then Vice-president George H.W. Bush after a hard fought primary campaign against Senator Bob Dole. The top Democratic candidates included Gov. Michael Dukakis, Sen. Al Gore and Rep. Dick Gephardt among others. At the time of the 1988 campaign, then Democratic Rep from Texas Rick Perry served as the Texas campaign head for Al Gore. After Bush handily defeated Dukakis for the White House, Perry switched parties and became a Republican in 1989, but still kept ties with Democrat Al Gore -- inventor of the internet and crusader for a one-world economy and government.
In 1999, Perry became Lieutenant Governor of Texas and Governor in 2000. As Texas’s governor, Perry has openly courted relations with a number of Islamic leaders.
One of Perry’s friends with Aga Khan, the multimillionaire head of the Shi’ite sect of Islam known as the Ismailis. As governor, Perry has used his association with Khan and other Ismailis leaders to establish cooperative programs with them and the state of Texas, including an education program to help teach children that Ismailis Muslims are peace loving people.
Perry has also been known to be friends with Grover Norquist. Norquist is married to a Palestinian wife who is the director of communications for Norquist’s Islamic Free Market Institute. He has been on the Islamic payroll before and after 9/11. Just fifteen days after the 9/11 attack on the US, Norquist arranged for President Bush to meet with fifteen Islamic leaders who were supposedly rejecting violence and terrorism. However, a number of those Islamic leaders have been supportive of Hamas, Hezb’allah and the Palestinian cause to eliminate Israel from existing as a nation and who have called for the destruction of all those nations who support Israel, including the US.
Usually, I like this site -- godfatherpolitics.com. The above (and there’s a lot more to it) left me asking, "Huh?" With the ‘Huh’ in mind, I found this post that replies to all the negatives brought up in the article and this guy has done his homework! It’s a long read, but he has it broken down so that you can choose any topic you want to know more about. He tells it like what I’ve always preached -- and he has the proof. I especially liked the one that explains how Texas went from Democrat to Republican and why.
My June 19, 2011 post, 'Don’t Count On The Hispanic Vote, Obimbo!' eluded to this. Don't go getting your hopes up that you're going to be the guest of honor at the next Cinco de Mayo party, Obimbo. They may use a likeness of your HEAD as a PINANTA, though.
