One of the most 'gut wrenching' things that I endure, before scrambling for the remote' is Harry Reid's uninspiring, vapid, milqtoast delivery. Notwithstanding the fact that what he says is, 99.9% of the time doltish, his allocution is such that I can't figure out how he ever motivated anyone's support! As I've said before, this clown has all of the 'pizzaz' of an UNDERTAKER!!!
The UNDERTAKER is the epitome of the word 'incompetence.' There's a poster of him, in his most smug pose he's capable of, with the word INCOMPETENCE under his picture. The definition that goes with it fits him perfectly: "If you can cast doubt on the skills and abilities of others, there is no end to the things you can fail at without being noticed."
'Elected' being the key word, Sam. That people like this are elected is what makes it so strange and difficult to comprehend... and makes me want to bawl like a baby for our country. Still, it should be no surprise. It's been in the works WAY before I was born and I'm 70 years old. At least, up until the past few years, we had a handle on it; no more, I'm afraid.

For the first time in my adult life, I really am afraid. Even as a combat Marine, I knew where I'd end up if it was my time; that's a peaceful feeling.
But, now I am afraid. I'm afraid for, and of, my own government.
I'm afraid that my children and my grandchildren (and, possibly, my great-grandchildren) will be stripped of what the founders of our great nation fought and died for. It's called 'Freedom,' Enema; it's something that you, and the other sheeple, take for granted.
I'm afraid that I may live just long enough to see the end of freedom come to fruition.

M4E, Yea, I've been mulling it for 7-8 years now. I think there is a a root sociological/psychological cause. In short, I think a lot of people simply reject or are revolted by good looking successful people which conservatives usually are. Or maybe they prop up failure so they can point to it and say "well, at least I'm better than that". Probably more than one phenomenon, but I believe it's textbook somewhere or will be if not.
Obama gave a great speech in Israel, does he get any credit for it? NO! Does he deserve some credit for going there and trying to make peace? Yes! All we hear about is Benghazi! Why are Dick Cheney and George Bush NOT being held to the same standards of Obama on Benghazi when in comparison THOUSANDS of Americans lost their lives in their homeland vs only 4 Americans overseas on an Embassy attack? Obama is doing the right thing a the best job that anyone can do, but since he does not have blonde hair and blue eyes, it doesn’t sit well with the RACIST Republicans .
